Arabidopsis thaliana

Ten characteristics lines of Arabidopsis thaliana were selected out of 80 lines of the 1001 Genome Project (www.1001genomes.org). The characterization of shoot traits was done by using the phenotyping platform GROWSCREEN-Fluoro (Jansen et al., 2009). Root architecture parameters were measured in agar-filled Petri dishes (Nagel et al., 2009). The selected lines originate from different regions all over the world and differ in structural characteristics of shoot and root traits.
