The development of new processes for phenotyping of plants requires the validation of methods by using well-defined genotypes, which cover a wide range of phenotypic parameters including shoot and root traits. Therefore, collections of genotypes with the largest contrasts were established to test and validate the phenotyping platforms at all three DPPN nodes.

The collections include:

Small rosette plants Arabidopsis thaliana
Large rosette plants Beta vulgaris
Small cereal plants Hordeum vulgare
Large cereal plants Zea mays
Erect dicot plants Brassica napus

The seeds of these collections can be provided for external users for research purposes. A Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) will accompany the shipment of seeds. Availability of the seeds must be discussed case-by-case. Inquiries should be directed to
