Brassica napus

Ten European lines of winter rapeseed were selected with contrasting root and shoot characteristics. The characterization of shoot traits was done by using the phenotyping platform “Screen House” (Dimaki et al., 2011; www.plant-phenotyping-network.eu/eppn/fzj_screen_house). Root architecture parameters were measured in agar-filled Petri dishes (Nagel et al., 2009).
